Membership Packages
Regular Member	(1) Any individual, partnership, firm, corporation, association, municipality, and religious and fraternal organization, being profit or not-for-profit, or any other entity owing, controlling or managing a cemetery, mausoleum or columbarium, for the memorialization and final disposition of human remains may become a regular member of this association. Any person, partnership, firm or corporation engaged in providing retail services or products relating to dead human remains including but not limited to funeral directors, cremationists, florists, and retail monument dealers, not affiliated with a cemetery, mausoleum, or columbarium, or any other entity owning, controlling or managing any of these service providers, may become a regular member of this association. (2) No application for membership will be considered unless accompanied by a Certificate of Compliance with applicable Cemetery, Crematory, Funeral Home and Allied Industry laws of the State of Michigan. (3) Each renewal of membership shall be accompanied by a Certificate of current Compliance with applicable Cemetery, Crematory, Funeral Home and Allied Industry laws of Michigan and submitted with annual dues. (4) Certificate of Compliance with State and Federal Cemetery, Crematory, Funeral Home and Allied Industry Laws forms will be made available by the Association Secretary. (5) If any individual, firm, corporation or other form of organization under this membership class owns or controls the operation of more than three (3) regular members, the total number of votes permitted to be cast by such regular members at any election or on matters upon which votes are cast shall be limited to three (3) votes.
Associate Member	Any individuals engaged in Cemetery, Crematory, Funeral Home and Allied Industry work in the State of Michigan who desires to become a member of this Associate Membership provided that the company at which the individual is associated is presently represented by active membership in the association. There shall be no limit on the number of Associate Membership available to any one member company. Associate Members shall not have the right to vote, hold office (or) but may be appointed to serve or chair (on) committees; otherwise they shall enjoy the same privileges and courtesies as the active members.
Supplier Member	Any individual, association or corporation supplying cemetery, mausoleums or columbarium materials or services, or any persons representing such association or corporation may become a Supplier Member of this Association without the right to vote or hold office, but with right to attend the meeting and conventions, by complying with the requirements of these Bylaws and upon paying the dues as hereinafter provided.
Honorary Member	The Board of Directors shall have the privilege to convey Honorary Memberships to deserving individuals. Further, any individual who is of good character and who has promoted the objects of this Association, in Retirement from a member company will automatically become and honorary life member upon approval of the Board of Directors. Honorary Life Members shall pay no dues.
Initiatory Member	Any cemetery in the State of Michigan shall be eligible to an Initiatory and Provisional Membership of this Association and my appoint one individual actively engaged in Cemetery, Crematory, Funeral Home and Allied Industry work and of good character as its representative, who is thought to be such as will promote the object of this Association. Initiatory and Provisional Members shall enjoy all of the benefits and privileges offered by this Association but shall not have the right to vote, hold office or act on committees. After one year, if the board of directors feel the information on hand is sufficient to warrant an active membership it shall grant same.
Sustaining Member	For members desiring services over and above a regular membership, and who wish to contribute and further the work of the Association.
